Clan Name: Otsutsuki Clan

Clan History: The Otsutsuki Clan is the oldest known clan in the entirety of the Elemental Nations, able to trace their lineage back to the very first user of chakra, Kaguya Otsutsuki. Kaguya was the princess of an ancient and forgotten land, one that was destroyed along with countless others in the seemingly endless strife and war of her time. The princess, in her grief and anger at the loss of all she had known broke the most sacred of rules in her time, and ate the fruit atop the peak of the God Tree. The fruit gave Kaguya divine powers, and she used them to subjugate the world in a vain effort to put an end to the never ending war that was ravishing the world.

For a time the world knew peace, but only because those in power feared the wrath of Kaguya far more than they desired more wealth and lands. Eventually Kaguya had two sons, Hagoromo and Hamura, and as the two grew up they knew something that most had desired for ages, peace. But in the peace the people in power began to forget why they feared Kaguya, and eventually war started to be waged once more, and this time it was bloodier than ever. Kaguya was quick to strike down the lands that broke her decree, but in doing so her sons began to see their mother as less of a peacekeeper and more of a tyrant… something that led to even more fighting.

Hagoromo and Hamura gave their all against the mother, but in the end even their combined power was not enough to defeat the woman that had become a goddess. But Kaguya was not cruel, nor did she hate her sons, so she simply banished the two of them for their attempt on her life. It isn't known what became of Kaguya herself, but both Hagoromo and Hamura eventually formed families of their own. Hagoromo’s children took the names of Senju and Uchiha for themselves later in life, but all of Hamura’s took the name Otsutsuki. As time passed, and the clan continued to grow in both size and power, a rift began to form amongst the family. Eventually the clan was split into two groups, the main family that held the power, and the branch family that existed to serve the main.

As the centuries passed relations between the houses grew bitter, and a bloody civil war ensued. The main family was defeated by the branch, and the broken remnants of the once powerful family went their separate ways. The victors keeping the name Otsutsuki, and the banished losers adopting the name of Hyuuga.

Since then the Otsutsuki have made an effort to stay out of the public eye, with many having forgotten the name that once struck terror into the hearts of the world. They do possess a rather sizeable clan compound in Steam Country, but most choose to wander the world. So it is not uncommon to find an Otsutsuki within other countries, or even as members of the still relatively new shinobi villages.

Clan Traits:
-Effect One: Not-So Gentle Fist: While the Gentle Fist of their banished brethren is much more feared and well known its roots lie in the Taijutsu Style of the Otsutsuki. This style is considered to be much more offensive in nature than the rather passive Gentle Fist despite the two styles being extremely similar. Due to the strong emphasis on using chakra to damage the opponents tenketsu and internal organs, a user of this fighting style will completely bypass the durability stat of an opponent.
-Effect Two: Enhanced Senses: For many generations the members of the Otsutsuki main family forced the members of the branch family to seal away their eyes. This is what eventually led to the Byakugan dying out within the branch line of the Otsutsuki, but in the place of their eyes the members of the branch family had their other senses heightened to an extraordinary degree. Their sense of smell is considered to be on par with those of the Inuzuka clan, while their sense of hearing was heightened to such levels that members of the clan had no trouble detecting anyone within 30 feet of their position due to the sound of the wind currents around them being altered.
-Effect Three: Forgotten Knowledge: The Otsutsuki Clan possess the single greatest library in the known world, and within that library are countless books filled with knowledge of chakra that has been long since forgotten by all. An Otsutsuki that chooses to take this trait sacrifices one of their tertiary specialties in order to better focus on what they already know. This allows the Otsutsuki to learn techniques up to 1 rank higher than their specialties would usually allow (SS-rank for secondary, S-rank for Tertiary and B-rank for specialties that they do not possess.)
