Kikyo walked around the moderately busy parts of Numachigakure. Thankfully she didn't have to roam around too much to get to where she wanted: the tea shop. As she arrived, she took off the hood of her dense black cloak and stepped into a small tea shop as she made a few gentle and quiet breaths. Winter was a beautiful season in scenery, but in temperature it was bearable to say the least; to some, that is. It was definitely more bearable compared to temperatures in the summer, although the snow could make traveling a little bothersome. Essentially it was a little chilly but Nonetheless, the Hidden Marsh Village did have its scenic moments.
The white haired woman remembered her first time entering the tea shop; it was more bustling compared to what there was now. It was a large tea shop with lights that shinned brightly all over the shop with tables and seats that can sit up to at least thirty people. There were also tables outside of the shop for people to enjoy their tea outdoors. She used to love coming there when she was little; at first she hated it, but she grew to love it eventually. When the war came, everything fell apart right to the ground and everything had to be built back up from scratch. Now there were only a few people that can sit at least twelve people and just two tables that were outdoors. The lights would shine dimly compared to when it was at its prime. It still had its spark like the old times, but it just wasn't the same anymore.
She looked around to observe that there were about six people in the shop, four of which sat in a table together and two sat alone. Kikyo decided to sit by herself since she could only assume the people that sat alone didn't want any company. As she approached to a table and settled herself in, a waiter waltz towards the white haired woman's table and greeted her as such, prepared to take Kikyo's order. ”Matcha, please.” She cooed to the waiter.
As the waiter nodded her head, she disappeared behind the counter before she returned to Kikyo's table with a cup in one hand and a teapot in the other. With the cup set down in front of the white haired woman, the waiter poured the Matcha into the cup. Once she was finished, Kikyo gave the waiter a few ryo before the waiter bowed her head and returned behind to the counter.
Kikyo picked up her cup of Matcha and took a small sip of her tea before she released a heavy sigh and placed the cup down. Matcha was one of her favorite teas to drink since she was a child due to how sweet it was. It made her really think, even after eleven years since the war some things can never really get back to where it once was, nor can never bring back what it once offered.
If she could turn back time, she would bring back the golden days the tea shop once had.
