Appearance: a metal rod, eighteen inches in length, three inches in diameter, weighing about three pounds. It is has a pair of black handles, with silver and gold metal plates at each end. The center of the rod is primarily silver with blue topaz accents embeded into the silver. The rod can be separated in half by twisting the rods apart.

Abilities:
-Overcharge: The user can force chakra into either one or both blades of Stormfront, making them stronger than they normally would be. Overcharging the blades increases their strength by 50. This can be done for a maximum of 5 posts, with a cooldown of posts used + 1. Overcharging has an activation cost of 10 per blade, and an upkeep of 5 per blade per post.
Backstory: Stormfront, like all weapons, started out as a concept in Ryutetsu's mind; It would be something he could wield like a staff or turn it into two weapons. What made this weapon different is it would be a weapon with no visible blades. The blades themselves would manifest as beams of storm chakra at each end of the handle. With the concept firmly in mind, a visit to Shimagakure's artisans and smiths to determine whether this was something that could happen, and how they could make it happen.
The design of the weapon itself was relatively simple to figure out. Having it two separate housings that could be connected together at each end would achieve what Ryutetsu was going for. Creating and defining the chakra blades themselves were something completely different. During the design process, Ryutetsu had come across a crystal formation in a cave not far from Shimagakure. The crystals themselves with some experimentation allowed the Umikage to inscribe a fuinjutsu array that would siphon minute amounts of chakra into it, acting as a resevoir of sorts. The array could then be activated with a mechanism, drawing out chakra to create a blade made entirely of chakra. He also found that if he purposefully shunted extra chakra into either crystal, he could make the blade even more powerful.

-Blade Activation: The user activates and deactivates Stormfront via a toggle built into each side of the handle. Each toggle activates one of the weapon's two blades and they can be activated/deactivated independantly of each other. The blades activate/deactivate with a speed of 100 (this does not scale). The Blades themselves are each three feet long and made out of Storm Release Chakra. They are teal in colour. Because of the intensity of the Storm Release chakra, anything cut by Stormfront's blades will cauterise if able.
Should one or both blades be destroyed, the user can be reform them at a cost of 10 per blade.
